Following on from our blog on creative corporate parties a few weeks back, we are going to take a look at some of the ways we can get creative with our Christmas corporate party planning too. Venues are booking up fast already, so yes, we know it’s only August and yes, we know it is crazy-ass hot at the moment, but booking is essential. Besides, that’s exactly why we are dreaming of the cooler weather to come. I’m typically British, where we all wish for the sun and when it arrives we hide away in an air-conditioned room, bemoaning how uncomfortable it is to simply exist in this heat. So let’s forget about summer for a moment and take a look at some creative ideas for your corporate Christmas party.

London is a hive of theatre experiences and extravaganzas; and of course Christmas is no exception. But why move between venues when you can just as easily bring excitement and entertainment to your your guests at your own corporate Christmas party. Fire eaters, magicians, artistic circus acts, tribute bands. There is tonnes to choose from and the experience can be as intimate or over-the-top as you like. Bring along your cameras and document the whole experience for your guests to enjoy at a later date and this is one Christmas party that won’t be forgotten in a hurry. It’s also nice to have a little change from the usual traditional party styles. Who needs mistletoe when you can have the WOW factor!

Christmas cocktails can be extra decadent and alcohol can be combined with sweet treats to create drinks that are overflowing with sugar and spices. See who can make the brightest cocktail and then when you’re done, see if it is actually drinkable. There are so many Christmas craft activities to choose from, so we think it’s best not to limit yourself to just one! Provide your guests with creation stations so they can take their pick of one or try a bit of everything. Our pick of the best craft activities include bauble making stations, Christmas card art, table decorating and the ones we all know and love – snowflake creation and pom-pom making. Set up everything that each station needs and let your team loose with just their imagination and some bits of coloured paper. I bet there’s a few people who will totally surprise everyone with their amazing crafting skills. Just make sure the scissors and glue are away before the drinks come out!

A twist on the more straight-laced escape rooms, why not organise and throw an escape party with a Christmas theme. You can go as fun or as dark as you like with this one. Escaping Santa’s Grotto can be a case of simply getting lost and having to follow clues past frolicking reindeer and helpful worker elves. Or it could be an all out evil Santa experience. When everyone has so many Christmas parties to attend, sometimes it’s nice to have a little break from the norm and throw a party focused on an entirely different time of year. Easter at Christmas? Summer indoors for Winter? Why ever not! Think about the holiday farthest away from the spirit of Christmas and run with it. Better still, Christmases from other Countries can bring unique ideas to the table. Christmas in Australia is one of the best. You can’t get much farther from our typical British Christmas than the roasting heat of the summer sun on Christmas day. Swap your roast up for salads, barbecues and seafood. The novelty of Christmas is enjoyable no matter where in the world you celebrate it.
