"For a trendy islington DJ bar, the CHapel is highly original. Taking their cue from the name, the decorators have adhered strictly to an ecclesiastical theme: the stained glass front doors are funeral parlor chic, the ornate stone bar resembles a little chunk of Notre Dame, and Gothic arches separate the front bar from the sunken "vestry" lounge.

Fun decor, complete with pulpit DJ box and stained glass windows, soulful music and friendly staff make for a very chilled out atmosphere. One of the best aspects of this back-street Islington gem is its secluded L shaped roof terrace. First time visitors frequently become devout regulars.
